I realized as I read other favorite blogs I enjoy I forgot to actually update mine from my trip to Nashville which was like 3 weeks ago! I also haven't even been near a computer much to relax or enjoy it because currently I'm not even home but in Milwaukee for work. It's Halloween I'm in my hotel room and realized October is almost done in 15 minutes and I'm completely drained.
The day before I left for Nashville my district leader asked me if I would be interested to be an educator! I jumped up and down in the back room of my salon and said yes!! Ideally that was my goal for my 30s... The opportunity came and I took it! It maybe 5 years early but things happen for a reason! I would have never said no.
I went to Nashville the next day super excited and realized that would probably be my last true vacation for awhile and when I came back home from Nashville I had a week and a half to prepare for yet another trip with my clients and staff...
I've learned so much being here and I'm so happy where I am career wise and the amazing people I've watched on hair DVDs I can now colleagues and friends now. The best part I met the Vice President Creative Director of Regis. Literally you can't go higher than him in the company. As soon as he left I told Mary Gail Hall that I want his job... New goal set.
Make goals and accomplish them and don't set yourself up for failure. Start off small and the end result will end up being HUGE!

Nashville
Since I got back from Vegas everything has been madness. My parents were both in Mexico, my sisters and I were both taking care of their house and the dog. Then after work, 2 hectic meetings and being plain exhausted my sisters grandmother (from her fathers side) passed, so she had to fly to Puerto Rico asap and I was stuck with even MORE work and MORE stress. Everything worked it self out, I went through it all and family is forever number one in my book...
Anyways, I'm sitting in my office/spare bedroom that is completely empty that I have yet to finish remodelling... I have been crazy busy as usual and haven't even been in this room in about a week ha but here I am, listening to music on shuffle and ignoring the fact that I'm driving to Nashville to be in one of my best friends wedding and that I should start to pack. I leave Wednesday morning and I'm driving... This should be quite interesting!
Here is an old photo from 05' and I can't wait to reunite with all these lovely ladies!

Back to the point of Nashville, one of my favorite cities...I think NYC is defiantly my favorite and then maybe Chicago then Nashville. So maybe my third. Whatever. My friend Gabby and I have been friends for about 10 years now which is crazy. Actually I have been very close to her and her sisters and her family in general. One time my parents left town during Thanksgiving and I spent it with Gabby and her family and it was the best ever and they were so welcoming and not to mention I had never really experienced an authentic American turkey day. The way we met is kinda embarrassing and maybe another day I will share the story, but it began with music.
I love music so much! All types and yes ill throw in the "except country". I don't really care for it too much, sue me Taylor Swift. Nashville is known for country music obviously, but it also has so many different music scenes its kinda a shame that country over powers it. Kings of Leon anybody? Anyways, Ive been to so many diverse shows, shoot I just went and saw Snoop Dogg this past weekend who is one of my favorites! Along with 2 chainz and kreayshawn and rita ora and machine gun kelly haha! Nashville always has the best shows come thru I must admit! So much I was very close to moving but realized I needed more cosmetology hours in the state of TN. :[ It was always Gabby and I's dream to move in together and away from Florida. Sadly I didn't make it, and she all by her lonesome moved away from her friends and family and did it. Ive always admired that about her and she met the greatest guy ever and shes is marrying him, and I could not be more happier for her.
I cant complain I am very glad I stayed home near my parents, worked on our relationship that my teenage years ruined and well I must say I have done very well for myself. I'm just glad Gabby still lives in Nashville and I can still visit my 3rd favorite state, and be apart of her super duper special day!
(I just got teary eyed thinkin of our friendship, I'm going to be a mess on Friday! sheesh)
